Optional Witnessed Data Destruction
Green Earth securely handles data-bearing devices using sanitization or physical destruction methods based on the equipment and customer requirements. Witnessed shredding is also available for select devices when additional verification is desired.
Hard Drives
Our team can remove and physically destroy hard drives through shredding.

Hazardous Waste
Paint, chemicals, oils, and other hazardous household or commercial materials.
Medical Waste
Needles, medications, hygiene waste, and other medical or biohazardous materials.
Mercury-Containing Devices
Thermostats, smoke alarms, and other instruments or devices containing mercury.
Electronic Organs & Pianos
Electronic organs, pianos, and similar equipment containing substantial wood components.
PCB Lighting Ballasts
Lighting ballasts containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
EV Batteries
Electric vehicle batteries and other large-format EV battery systems.
Water Softeners
Residential and commercial water softening equipment.
Radiation-Exposed Equipment
Equipment or materials that have been exposed to radiation.
Acceptance of all materials is subject to inspection. Green Earth reserves the right to refuse any item or material.
What we do With Your Information
Protecting your personal information is important to us. Data-bearing devices are sanitized or physically destroyed according to NIST 800-88 data destruction standards. Following data destruction, we focus on reusing equipment whenever possible and responsibly recycling remaining materials.

How to Drop Off Your Electronics
Recycling your electronics with Green Earth is simple, convenient, and designed to make responsible disposal easy.
Gather Your Electronics
Collect the items you want to recycle and back up any data you wish to keep before drop-off. Smartphones and tablets should also be removed from your Apple ID, Google account, or other device management accounts.

Drop-off hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET. No appointment is required, and our team can assist with unloading when you arrive.
We Handle the Rest
Green Earth takes it from there, processing your electronics for secure data handling, reuse, recovery, and responsible recycling as appropriate.
